Vladimir Aleksandrovich Borisov (1809–1862), regional ethnographer in the town of Shuya and a member of Russian Geography Society, was the author of a book about Shuya and its environs. He had a vast collection of ancient handwritten rolls and books, old printed books and coins that are now at various museums. (M 43382) _ _.
