Thomas Andrews (1873-1912) was the architect primarily responsible for the design of the RMS Titanic, the largest artificial moving object in the world when, on 1912 April 15, it sank in the North Atlantic Ocean after colliding with an iceberg while sailing from Southampton to New York.
