Terrence Girard (b. 1957) joined the Yale University Astronomy Department in 1985 and since then has been in charge of the development of specialized astrometric software used at Yale and at other research institutions. His main responsibility is the reduction and analysis of the Yale-San Juan Southern Proper Motions program.
