John R. Weirich (b. 1979) is a researcher at the Planetary Science Institute. Currently his research focus is testing and preparing code that will be used to build a shape model of asteroid Bennu for the OSIRIS-REx Asteroid Sample Return Mission. He also conducts age dating on impact-melted meteorites.
