William Verts (b. 1968) worked as a senior mechanical designer on the OSIRIS-REx Asteroid Sample Return Mission OCAMS camera. He also helped design TEGA II on the Phoenix Mars Mission and Mars Polar Lander and GRS on the Odyssey Mars Mission.
