Jose M. Subirachs (b. 1927), a universal sculptor and painter, is considered by many to be the most important living Catalan artist, perhaps best known for his continuing Antonio Gaudi's inspiring work on the Sagrada Familia, Barcelona's still unfinished cathedral.
