Steven Aggas is an Arizona engineer in liquid crystal displays and light- emitting diodes holding 20 patents in the field. As an amateur astronomer he has won awards for the construction of telescopes. In 2010 he founded the Apache-Sitgreaves Center for Astrophysics, which is in northern Arizona.
