Marco Delbó (b. 1972) has contributed significantly to knowledge of the physical properties of near-earth asteroids by means of thermal-infrared observations and modeling. He has derived an estimate of the thermal inertia of near-earth asteroids, which is vital for reliable calculations of orbital drift due to the Yarkovsky effect.
