Leonid Nikolaevich Lytvynenko (b. 1938) is an academician at the Ukrainian National Academy of Science and directs the Radioastronomical Institute in Kharkiv. His work in radioastronomy has centered on decametric observations of galactic objects, the sun and Jupiter. The name was suggested by Yu. G. Shkuratov.
