A power trio from Texas, ZZ Top was formed in 1969. Bearded Billy Gibbons (guitar and vocals) and Dusty Hill (bass and vocals), and beardless Frank Beard (percussion) produce energetic music that was used to close the dome of the OCA Schmidt telescope after a long night of observing.
