Karl Mikael Sorensen (b. 1993) is a finalist in the 2007 Discovery Channel Young Scientist Challenge (DCYSC), a middle school science competition, for his botany and zoology project. He is a member of the Home Educators of the New River Valley, Pearisburg, Virginia.
