Albert Fonó (1881-1972) was a Hungarian mechanical engineer. He was one of the early pioneers of turbojet and ramjet propulsion, and in 1928 was the first to patent a ramjet engine. His main specialty was energetics and he had 46 patents in 20 topics of research, including a steam boiler and an air compressor for mines.
