Harald Alexandrescu (1945-2005) was a Romanian astronomer, renowned for his public outreach activity. A specialist in celestial mechanics, geodesy and satellites, he worked at the Astronomical Institute, the Institute of Geodesy and founded the Institute of Gravitation and Space Sciences in Bucharest.
