Bocacara is a village in Spain, located 80 km SW of the historic university city of Salamanca. It was first settled in the Middle Ages and remained a farming and herding village until the end of the 20th century. Crops included wheat, beans and garbanzos, but Bocacara was renowned in the region for its potatoes.
