Enrico Cappellaro (b. 1957) is chief astronomer of the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics and director of the Padua Astronomical Observatory. He was the scientist responsible for the construction of Omegacam, the wide-field camera. He also works on supernovae and the structure of planetary nebulae.
