Named in honor of Andrew Y. Glikson, retired senior research scientist with the Australian Geological Survey Organization. Glikson, a geologist of vision and creativity, is one of the leading investigators of the early Precambrian. He is especially noted for his work on the Archean of Western Australia and on the complex rocks of the Musgrave Block. He is also well known for his work on impact craters and on the possible role of impacts in the geology of the Archean. (M 29670) _ _.
