Citlaltépetl is a dormant volcano and the highest mountain (5636 m) in Mexico and lies near to the city of Orizaba. The volcano belongs to the Trans-Mexican Volcanic belt and last erupted in 1846. It is also the second most prominent volcanic peak in the world.
