Hilmar W. Duerbeck (b. 1948) is an astronomer working at Hoher List (Bonn), Muenster (Westphalia) and Brussels. His research is primarily directed toward eclipsing binary and variable stars (dwarf novae). He is also author of the Reference Catalogue of Galactic Novae.
