Achille Leani (b. 1924) was one of the founders of the International Union of Amateur Astronomers. Formerly a teacher, he was also a council member of the Società Astronomica Italiana. He founded the Cremona and Soresina observatories, as well as the Gruppo Astrofili Cremonesi.
