Named for a castle situated near the town Ústí nad Labem in northern Bohemia. The castle, founded in 1318, towers above the river Labe on a steep rock 100-m high and dominates the town. Thanks to its advantageous position, the castle was never conquered. Střekov is also the name of a district in the town, the discoverer’s birthplace. (M 26933; M 34089)
