Felix Klein (1849–1925) was a professor of mathematics at Erlangen and later at Göttingen. Deeply impressed by the concept of a group of transformations as a unisfying principle in geometry, he spent much of his life developing, applying and popularizing this notion. (M 38201) _ _.
