Nikifor Dmitrievich Kalinenkov (1924–1996) was professor of physics and astronomy at the Nikolaev State Pedagogical Institute in Ukraine. He was the first director of the Institute’s astronomical observatory and contributed much to its instrumentation through “make-it-yourself” telescopes and other devices. (M 46011) _ _.
