Alexandr Kuzmich Osipov (1920-2004) was for 43 years a research worker at the Astronomical Observatory of Kiev University. He studied the figure of the moon, using his own observations of lunar occultations. He was also known as a scientific coordinator of amateurs and young research scientists.
