Vilmos Zsigmond (b. 1930) is an Academy Award-winning Hungarian-American cinematographer who chronicled the events of the 1956 revolution in Budapest and escaped to Austria shortly afterward. He won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography for Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind in 1977.
