Joseph T. (“J.T.”) Williams (b. 1936) is an engineer at the Multiple-Mirror Observatory who was instrumental in the development of the original cluster of six 1.8-m telescopes on Mt. Hopkins, Arizona, as well as of the 6.5-m retrofit. He also developed the technique of aluminizing large telescope mirrors in situ.
