Károly Posztoczky (1882-1963) was a Hungarian landowner and amateur astronomer. He started his observations at his private observatory on Erdőtagyos in 1915. He made solar, lunar and deep-sky observations and took numerous astrophotos. On his land he also established a meteorological station.
