Alexandr A. Konovalenko (b. 1951) is an academician at the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences and a well-known radioastronomer. He is active in astrophysics and instrumentation using the largest decameter radio telescope (UTR-2). The name was suggested by D. F. Lupishko.
