Douglas N. C. Lin (b. 1949) is a theoretical astrophysicist at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He also served as founding director of the Kavli Institute for Astronomy & Astrophysics at Peking University. He has modeled the formation, structure, and evolution of galaxies, globular clusters, stars and planets.
