László Szabados (b. 1948) is a Hungarian astronomer and leader of the Hungarian Gaia group. His main field of research is the study of Cepheid-type variable stars. He is the editor of the Information Bulletin on Variable Stars. In addition to his research work, he is a popular teacher and very active science communicator.
