Eugene Lazowski (1913-2006) was a Polish medical doctor. During the Second World War, he created a fake outbreak of highly contagious epidemic typhus in and around the town of Rozwadów. By doing so, he risked his own life, but saved thousands of Jews from the Holocaust.
