Named for a small town, more than 1050 years old, a few kilometers distant from the Tautenburg Observatory. Situated on a limestock rock above the mean Saale {see planet  (5409)} river valley, it is known for its ceramics and for the ensemble of three “Dornburg castles” from three architectural epochs. Goethe {see planet  (3047)} spent some time in this attractive place. (M 13482) _ _.
