Maidbronn is a small village in northern Bavaria, Germany. The village was first mentioned in 1169, and a Cistercian convent from 1232-1581 has been preserved in parts. The church contains a stone relief of the Lamentation of Christ, an important late work by Tilman Riemenschneider, dated from 1519-1522.
