Named in honor of Mayme Lou “Stevey” Stevens Bruce, a graduate of Pomona College, California. Mother of three daughters, she and her husband, Stuart Bruce, have had a long fascination with travel to remote corners of the world. The recently published book Beyond the Ranges, authored by her husband, documents their research and travels. “Stevey” is an enthusiastic supporter and spokesperson for solar system research and discovery, contributing to the expansion of basic research in Helin’s {see planet  (3267)} PCAS and DSSS programs.
