Named in honor of Ko Nagasawa (1932– ), who retired from the University of Tokyo’s Earthquake Research Institute in 1994 and now works for the Public Information Office at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan. He has long been interested in the study of meteors, and he obtained many high-quality photographic spectra of the 1965 Leonids at the Dodaira Station. (M 30099) _ _.
