Gorgo is the German word for Gorgon. In the Greek mythology by Homer {see planet  (5700)} only one Gorgon exists as a monster. Later there are three Gorgons, the three daughters of Ceto and Phorcys. Two of them, Euryale and Stheno, were immortal, the third, Medusa (see planet  (149)), was mortal. (I. van Houten-Groeneveld) _ _.
