Ken-ichi Wakamatsu (b. 1942) is a professor at Gifu University and serves as the vice-president of the Astronomical Society of Japan. He has studied the structure and dynamics of clusters of galaxies in optical and radio ranges, and he also worked on an 11-m radio telescope for e-VLBI network in Japan.
