Porrentruy is a medieval town in Swiss Jura. It was the residence of the bishops of Basel from 1527 to 1792. The most famous of them, Jacques-Christophe Blarer of Wartensee, founded the Jesuit school that is now Lycée cantonal. Its botanic garden is well known for miles around.
