Takashi Ohsugi (b. 1944), currently director of the Hiroshima Astrophysical Science Center, is an expert on the development of semiconductor detectors for high-energy astrophysics. He developed silicon sensors for the LAT instrument on the γ-ray large-area space telescope GLAST.
