Genta Yamamoto (b. 1942), began creating pottery at the age of 20 and is known for his efforts to revive “Hoshino ware”, one of the traditional pottery styles of Japan. His works have a motif that imitates heavenly bodies. Known in Japan as “The Man who bakes a planet”, he is working on a design in the style of a “star”.
