Hajime Yano (b. 1967) is an expert in cosmic dust research and solar system exploration and a pioneer of in-situ studies of meteoroid and orbital debris in space. He also led the Japanese team for airborne observations of the 1998-2002 Leonid meteor storms and developed the sampling device for ISAS' MUSES-C mission.
