Named in honor of Bruce W. Koehn (1948– ), who has developed much of the software used in the operation of LONEOS, the Lowell Observatory Near-Earth Object Search program. Among his many contributions, he devised moving-object detection and field-sequencing algorithms and has been central to the increasingly automated operation of LONEOS. Koehn has also written much of the code used in the minor-planet services at the Lowell Observatory’ website. (M 34628) _ _.
