Michael F. Skrutskie (b. 1959) is a professor of astronomy at the University of Virginia. An expert in infrared astronomy instrumentation, he was the principal investigator for the Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS) producing a catalog of J-, H-, K-band colors for several thousand asteroids.
