As April begins, you’re being called out into the world. The Sun’s in Aries and your friendship and group sector until the 20th. Plus, on the 11th, there’s a powerful Sun-Jupiter conjunction in this same part of your horoscope.
This is said to be one of the luckiest conjunctions of the year. The Sun represents your vitality and energy, your essence and who you’re becoming. Big planet Jupiter expands what it touches and is linked to good fortune, new opportunities and celebration.
This combination awakens the extrovert side of your character and the part of your nature that likes to be around other people. Aries brings with it a sense of the new and it’s a positive time to dive into something exciting or adventurous.
You may be at a party or celebrating an anniversary. Alternatively, a friend may share good news with you. Or, perhaps you’re joining in with other people in the name of a good cause or leading the way with new ventures in your local community.
This is a two-way deal. Be there for friends and bring laughter and lightness to other peoples’ lives. Also, ask for help and advice when it’s needed. Team up with others to benefit one another.
Solar Eclipse Aries
There’s more activity in Aries on the 20th when there’s a New Moon Solar Eclipse in this same sector of your horoscope. Last month, there was a New Moon in Aries on March 21st and this New Moon Solar Eclipse highlights your friendship and group sector.
This is the start of a new eclipse cycle which lasts until March 2025 and cuts across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac. For you, this is about your social life, your group interactions and your relationship with children and loved ones.
Yet, as Pluto makes a square aspect to the Solar Eclipse, there’s a theme of endings as well as new beginnings. You may be cutting ties from a friendship group or find that the door shuts closed behind you. Or, perhaps someone new comes into your life and impacts your next steps in a powerful way.
The Sun moves into Taurus before perfecting its square aspect with Pluto in Aquarius on the 20th, the same day as the eclipse. Therefore, developments in one area of your life may require a rethink in another area. This could be linked to travel or study plans or having to give up on a long-held dream.
Air Signs
What may help this month is the emphasis on air signs, Gemini, Libra & Aquarius. As a Sun Gemini, you like to have things to look forward to as you’re the curious star sign. Find ways to feed your lively nature throughout April.
Venus’ move into your star sign Gemini on the 11th is gorgeous for love and falling in love with life. This means that love may be more important to you and it’s an ideal time to tend to your close relationships and reconnect with people who are dear to your heart. If you’re in a relationship or married, you could grow closer.
Venus often brings a sense of gratitude or happiness around everyday activities when it’s in your star sign. This is a cosmic reminder to appreciate what you have, do more of what you love and make the most of life.
Plus, the Full Moon on the 6th falls in Libra, a romantic sector of your horoscope. This lights up your creativity and the things you give birth to, including children. Do more of what you love on or around the Full Moon. Life’s calling you out to find the beauty in the world and in your immediate surroundings.
Inner Work
Throughout April, there’s a strong emphasis on you and what you need in life. This suggests that at times you’re wise to put yourself first and other people’s needs second.
This has a lot to do with the fact that your ruling planet Mercury, is hidden away in your horoscope from the 3rd onwards. This is the date that Mercury enters earth sign Taurus, a time when you may benefit from retreat, quiet time, prayer or solitude.
Therefore, even though you’ll have your friends around you, don’t line up too much in the month ahead and make time for you. There’s another planet in Taurus up until the 11th, Venus, the planet of relating.
You might be drawn back to your past or return to a place you’ve been before that was meaningful to you. Wherever you are, ensure you create the time to rest, relax and be pampered. The Sun enters Taurus on the 20th.
When key planets are in Taurus, it’s a good idea to prioritise self-care. Or, perhaps you’re looking after someone else, someone close to you. Think about why you might need more time alone, whether you’re caring, studying or preparing for a new chapter in your life.
Mercury Retrograde
It’s unusual for your planet Mercury to remain in one star sign for more than a couple of weeks. Yet, this is what happens now as Mercury will be in earth sign Taurus from April 3rd to June 11th. This is because Mercury turns retrograde in Taurus on the 21st and will remain on go slow until May 15th.
You may already know the drill when Mercury is about to switch direction. Before it does so, you’re wise to back up important files and correspondence and sort out any niggles or worries around transport or technology. Mercury retrograde is classic for mis-communication and things not working out the way you expect.
If you can slow down the pace of life and take some time out to ponder what next, this would be a wonderful period in the year for a sabbatical, a time to do less not more.
Or, perhaps life steps in to slow down your progress, whether you’re dealing with ill-health or a job comes to an end. Certainly, this is a month when it’s vital to lower your stress levels, any way you see fit. Sometimes in life, you’re wise to slow down in order to speed up.
This may make more sense to you on or around the 8th and the 24th. Throughout April, you have action planet Mars in Cancer and your personal money sector. And, Mars teams up with your planet Mercury in Taurus on the 8th, when Mercury’s direct and on the 24th, when Mercury’s retrograde.
Mercury in Taurus is slow while Mars in Cancer is faster – it’s a weird combination. It may mean that slowing down and taking a step back could benefit you financially. As your planet Mercury is linked to trade, make any significant deals before the 21st.
