In 1938 Max Schreier (1907-1997) emigrated from Vienna to Bolivia, where he became a driving force for the study of astronomy. Founder of observatories in Santa Ana and Patacamaya, he is particularly well known for his book Einstein desde los Andes de Bolivia.
