Toshihiko Hamane (b. 1963) is curator of the Gunma Astronomical Observatory. He assisted Yoshihide Kozai, director of GAO from 1997 to 2012, especially in the field of school education of astronomy and planetary science. He is also a popularizer of astronomy.
