Named in honor of Shinsuke Tsukada (b. 1954), director of the Yonago City Planetarium, Tottori Prefecture, and an executive member of the San-in Society of Astronomy, the Tottori Society of Astronomy. Provider of varied and informative planetarium programs for the general public on an on-going basis, he spends his free evenings searching for comets. Name proposed by the discoverers following a suggestion by Y. Yamada.
